Ernest Molloy was working as a clerical assistant at the former General Post Office, now home to The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, when his colleague invited him to sneak out for a drink through a secret underground tunnel that led to Angel Place – a tunnel they ended up using quite often in the summertime!
