Volaré | Luna Park Sydney's Latest Ride

Watch as our latest ride comes to life! Volaré, our brand new, family thrill ride, is wave swinger overlooking Sydney Harbour and opened to the public on Sunday, 17 March.

The latest addition to Sydney’s only fun park is the tallest and largest wave swinger in Australia, sitting at 23 metres above sea level. Volaré, meaning ‘to fly’ in Italian, will swing high over Luna Park, with incredible views of the water and Sydney Harbour Bridge as it spins at speeds of up to 65 km per hour.

Specially handcrafted for Luna Park Sydney by world class Italian ride manufacturers, Volaré completes Sydney’s skyline with a magical display of over 3,500 LED lights. The ride’s artwork was designed with both Luna Park’s heritage and vibrant personality in mind, featuring iconic Showtime characters such as Luna Bob and Luna Belle. Luna Park Sydney’s resident artist Ashley Taylor, has also hand-painted the boarding area with images of cityscapes, clouds and a star-studded sky as people enter the ride.
